Rasionalitas Pengobatan Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Rsup Dr. Sardjito dan RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (Rasionality Type 2 Diabetic Mellitus Therapy in RSUP DR. Sardjito and RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta
ABSTRACT
Rational use of drugs are said to be proper if the indications of disease, proper dosing, route of administration with appropriate time intervals. Proper medication is considered to be effective with guaranteed quality and safety This study was aimed the suitability of the treatment of type 2 Diabetes mellitus therapy in hospitalized patients at Dr. Sardjito Hospital and PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta during July to December 2012 and to determine the rationality of the treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2 both hospital. This study used descriptive design. The data were taken from medical record DM type 2 patient hospitalized in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta and Dr Sardjito Hospital. Analysis was performed according to the Standards of medical care in Diabetes American Diabetes Asociation 2010. The results showed that of the 22 cases in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta used appropriate indication 95,46%, appropriate drug 86,36%, appropriate dose 63,64%, appropriate patients 90,91% and 25 cases at Dr. Sardjito Hospital used appropriate indication 84%, appropriate drug 80%, appropriate dose 92%, and appropriate patients 84%. Percentage of rationality at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta rational treatment of DM type 2 was 45,45% and percentage of rationality at Dr. Sardjito Hospital rational treatment of DM type 2 was 72%,
